Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using VisualSitemaps.

These Terms govern your access to and use of https://visualsitemaps.com, https://app.visualsitemaps.com, and any related websites, applications, services, software, features, content, exports, reports, integrations, AI-assisted features, and other offerings made available by VisualSitemaps Inc. and its affiliates (“VisualSitemaps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, clicking “Accept,” “Get Started for Free,” “Sign Up,” “Upgrade,” “Subscribe,” “Purchase,” or a similar button, accessing the Services, using the Services, starting a trial, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, agency, client, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity. In that case, “you” and “your” refer to both you as an individual and that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Services.

These Terms incorporate by reference the VisualSitemaps Privacy Policy and any additional terms, plan limits, checkout terms, product-specific terms, support policies, data processing terms, or other policies we publish or make available in connection with the Services.

1. The Services

VisualSitemaps provides software and related services for website crawling, visual sitemap generation, screenshot capture, sitemap editing, annotations, tagging, scheduled crawls, visual QA workflows, competitive and website research, VisualFlows, exports, Google Drive integration, AI-assisted website architecture analysis, AI-Optimized Sitemaps, reports, and related planning and collaboration workflows.

The Services may include free plans, free trials, paid subscriptions, usage-based features, credits, add-ons, AI features, beta features, and third-party integrations.

We may modify, improve, limit, suspend, discontinue, rename, reprice, or replace any part of the Services at any time, subject to applicable law and any specific written agreement we have with you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Services. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase, administer, or use any paid Services or Premium Services.

You may not use the Services if doing so would violate any applicable law, regulation, contract, sanctions restriction, or other legal obligation.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the Services at our discretion where we believe use of the Services creates legal, security, operational, payment, abuse, compliance, or reputational risk.

3. Accounts, Users, and Security

To use certain Services, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account, billing, and contact information and to keep that information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by employees, contractors, clients, team members, collaborators, invitees, or other users you authorize.

Unless your plan expressly allows multiple users or team seats, an account may only be used by the individual who registered it. Credentials may not be shared with other individuals or entities.

If you have a team, agency, enterprise, or multi-seat plan, you are responsible for assigning, managing, removing, and monitoring user access. You are responsible for all acts, omissions, and breaches by your users and anyone accessing the Services through your account or credentials.

You must promptly notify us at [email protected] if you become aware of unauthorized access, credential compromise, payment method issues, security incidents, or any other breach affecting your account.

4. Customer Data

“Customer Data” means data, content, files, URLs, website content, screenshots, sitemap data, crawl data, credentials, cookies, headers, annotations, tags, comments, exports, prompts, instructions, reports, configurations, user information, or other materials submitted to, generated through, uploaded to, or processed by the Services on your behalf.

You retain your rights in Customer Data. You grant VisualSitemaps a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, access, copy, process, transmit, display, generate, modify, store, analyze, and use Customer Data as necessary to provide, secure, support, maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and operate the Services.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have all rights, permissions, consents, and authority necessary to submit, process, crawl, capture, upload, analyze, store, and use Customer Data through the Services.
  • Customer Data and your use of the Services comply with applicable laws, third-party rights, contracts, website terms, privacy obligations, and these Terms.
  • Customer Data does not include unlawful, infringing, deceptive, fraudulent, harmful, malicious, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate material.
  • Customer Data does not include viruses, malware, malicious code, or material intended to disrupt, damage, overload, or interfere with the Services or third-party systems.
  • Customer Data does not include payment card data, protected health information, sensitive government identifiers, or other highly regulated data unless VisualSitemaps has expressly agreed in writing to process that data.

VisualSitemaps is not responsible for verifying the accuracy, legality, completeness, ownership, permissions, or suitability of Customer Data.

5. Authorized Crawling and Website Access

VisualSitemaps allows customers to crawl, capture, map, analyze, and report on websites and web pages. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to submit, crawl, capture, access, analyze, or process any website, URL, content, credentials, cookies, headers, staging environment, password-protected area, internal page, or third-party property through the Services.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, authority, and lawful basis to:

  • Crawl, capture, access, process, and analyze each website or URL you submit.
  • Provide any credentials, cookies, headers, tokens, or access methods used with the Services.
  • Generate screenshots, visual sitemaps, reports, exports, and AI-assisted outputs from submitted content.
  • Use any resulting output for your intended business, client, or internal purposes.

You may not use the Services to:

  • Access, crawl, or capture websites, systems, pages, accounts, or content without authorization.
  • Evade access controls, authentication systems, paywalls, technical restrictions, rate limits, robots restrictions, or security mechanisms.
  • Probe, scan, test, attack, overload, scrape, harvest, or disrupt third-party systems in an unauthorized or abusive manner.
  • Crawl or capture content in a way that violates applicable law, privacy obligations, contractual obligations, intellectual property rights, or website terms.
  • Use credentials, cookies, headers, or access tokens that you are not authorized to use.
  • Misrepresent your authority to crawl or analyze a website.
  • Use the Services for surveillance, phishing, credential theft, vulnerability exploitation, spam, malware, or any illegal or harmful purpose.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate crawls, accounts, or access if we believe a crawl or use of the Services is unauthorized, abusive, risky, unlawful, technically disruptive, or inconsistent with these Terms.

6. AI-Assisted Features and Outputs

The Services may include AI-assisted features, including AI-Optimized Sitemaps, website architecture analysis, page grouping, tagging, prioritization, content strategy suggestions, redirect suggestions, reports, summaries, recommendations, and other AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs (“AI Outputs”).

AI Outputs are provided for informational, planning, research, and decision-support purposes only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unsuitable, or inconsistent with your business, technical environment, platform constraints, SEO strategy, legal obligations, implementation resources, or customer needs.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing and validating AI Outputs before using them.
  • Deciding whether and how to implement any AI Output.
  • Confirming technical feasibility, SEO impact, redirect logic, platform constraints, accessibility implications, privacy implications, legal compliance, and business suitability.
  • Backing up your data and systems before making changes based on AI Outputs.
  • Obtaining professional advice where appropriate.

VisualSitemaps does not guarantee that AI Outputs will improve rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue, user experience, accessibility compliance, legal compliance, site performance, or business outcomes.

AI Outputs do not constitute legal, financial, tax, security, accessibility, compliance, SEO, or professional advice.

We may use third-party AI providers, infrastructure providers, and subprocessors to provide AI-assisted features. Your use of AI-assisted features is subject to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable data processing terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services, directly or indirectly, to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, contract, third-party right, or these Terms.
  • Upload, submit, transmit, or process unlawful, infringing, deceptive, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate content.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, or compromise the Services or any third-party systems.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, accounts, data, networks, systems, or infrastructure.
  • Circumvent or bypass any technical limits, access controls, security measures, usage limits, billing systems, or account restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher, or attempt to derive source code, models, algorithms, architecture, or underlying ideas of the Services, except where prohibited by law.
  • Copy, modify, frame, mirror, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, distribute, or make the Services available as a service bureau, outsourced service, or competing platform.
  • Use the Services to build, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product or service without written permission.
  • Crawl, scrape, spider, or harvest the VisualSitemaps websites, application, infrastructure, data, or Services without written permission.
  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or unlawful marketing messages.
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, harmful code, or material intended to disrupt systems.
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, authority, or permissions.
  • Abuse free trials, promotions, credits, AI credits, referral rewards, affiliate links, discounts, or payment systems.
  • Use the Services for unlawful surveillance, phishing, credential theft, fraud, exploitation, or other harmful activity.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, limit, or terminate access where we believe these Terms have been violated.

8. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Services may link to, integrate with, depend on, or allow access to third-party services, platforms, applications, APIs, payment processors, AI providers, cloud infrastructure, support tools, analytics tools, storage providers, or other third-party resources.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, third-party content, third-party errors, third-party downtime, third-party pricing, third-party changes, or third-party acts or omissions.

If you authorize an integration, you authorize VisualSitemaps to access, transmit, store, and process relevant data as needed to provide the integration. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights and permissions necessary to use third-party integrations with the Services.

9. Plans, Fees, and Premium Services

Certain Services are free. Certain Services require payment (“Premium Services”). Premium Services may include monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, usage-based services, add-ons, credits, AI credits, team seats, enterprise plans, custom services, or other paid features.

Current pricing, plans, features, limits, and billing terms may be shown on our pricing page, checkout page, in-app billing page, order form, or other written agreement.

All amounts are stated and payable in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified. Fees are exclusive of taxes, duties, levies, tariffs, VAT, and other government charges. You are responsible for all taxes associated with your use of the Services, other than taxes based on VisualSitemaps’ net income.

We may change pricing, plan names, plan limits, included features, usage limits, overage fees, credits, or packaging from time to time. If you have an active paid subscription, we will provide notice of material fee increases as required by applicable law or as described in these Terms.

10. Payment and Billing

By purchasing Premium Services, starting a paid subscription, starting a trial that converts to a paid subscription, adding a paid feature, or otherwise providing a payment method, you authorize VisualSitemaps and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees, taxes, overages, upgrades, renewals, and other charges.

You must provide current, complete, and accurate billing and payment information. You must promptly update your billing information if it changes. If payment cannot be processed, we may suspend, limit, downgrade, or terminate access to Premium Services.

We use third-party payment processors. Payment processing is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those processors. We are not responsible for payment processor errors, bank delays, card issuer decisions, currency conversion charges, international fees, or other processor-related issues, but we may correct payment errors where reasonably appropriate.

Unpaid amounts may be subject to interest, collection costs, suspension, termination, and recovery efforts to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Auto-Renewal

Certain Premium Services are sold as automatically renewing subscriptions.

By starting a subscription, you authorize VisualSitemaps and its payment processors to automatically charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you selected, such as monthly or annually, until you cancel.

Unless you cancel before the renewal date, your subscription will renew automatically for successive renewal periods of the same duration at the then-current non-promotional rate or the rate otherwise disclosed to you.

You may cancel or change your subscription as described in Section 12. Cancellation does not affect charges submitted before cancellation became effective.

12. Cancellation and Plan Changes

You may cancel or change your Premium Services through your account settings, billing page, or subscription management area. If you need assistance, contact us at [email protected].

To avoid renewal charges, cancellation requests should be completed at least three days before the end of the current subscription term to allow for processing.

If you cancel a paid subscription, your subscription will not renew for the next billing period. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation does not create a right to a prorated refund, partial refund, credit, or refund for unused time, unused features, unused AI credits, unused crawl limits, unused seats, or unused exports.

If your account is downgraded to a free plan or lower plan after cancellation, you may lose access to Premium Services, paid features, storage, AI outputs, exports, team access, usage limits, or other plan-specific functionality.

13. Free Trials and Promotions

VisualSitemaps may offer free trials, discounts, coupons, credits, beta access, limited-time promotions, lifetime deals, or other promotional offers.

Promotions may have additional terms, eligibility rules, usage limits, expiration dates, and restrictions. We may modify or cancel promotions at any time unless otherwise required by law.

If a free trial requires a payment method, we will not charge you until the trial period ends. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method may be charged according to the plan you selected.

Free trials, promotions, discounts, and credits may not be combined, transferred, resold, redeemed for cash, or applied retroactively unless we expressly allow it.

14. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee only when both of the following conditions are met:

  • The refund is requested within 30 days of the first payment for the relevant subscription.
  • The account has crawled 100 pages or fewer in total.

Accounts that have crawled more than 100 pages are not eligible for a refund under the money-back guarantee.

Except where required by law or expressly approved by VisualSitemaps, we do not provide refunds, credits, or prorated refunds for:

  • Partial subscription periods.
  • Annual plans after purchase.
  • Unused features.
  • Unused crawl limits.
  • Unused AI credits.
  • Unused reports.
  • Unused seats.
  • Downgrades.
  • Failure to cancel before renewal.
  • Promotional or discounted purchases.
  • AppSumo, lifetime deal, or marketplace deal purchases, unless the applicable marketplace terms state otherwise.

We may, at our discretion, offer credits, replacement credits, or other remedies if a technical failure on our side prevents reasonable use of the Services.

Before upgrading to a paid plan, we strongly encourage you to test the Services using the free plan or trial and review our FAQs, documentation, plan limits, and refund conditions.

15. Chargebacks and Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us promptly at [email protected] so we can investigate.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is submitted for a charge that we determine was valid, authorized, and consistent with these Terms, we may suspend, downgrade, or terminate your account, recover outstanding amounts, block future purchases, and refuse future service where permitted by law.

This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable payment card network rules, consumer protection laws, or other applicable laws.

16. Referral Program

VisualSitemaps may offer a customer referral program that allows eligible users to refer new customers and receive account credits or other rewards.

The customer referral program is separate from the VisualSitemaps Affiliate Program. Referral rewards are account credits or other non-cash rewards unless we expressly state otherwise. Referral rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, sold, or redeemed outside the Services.

The referral program may be managed through Reditus or another provider. By participating, you agree to comply with the applicable referral program rules, these Terms, and any relevant third-party platform terms.

VisualSitemaps may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time.

17. Affiliate Program

VisualSitemaps may offer an affiliate program for approved affiliates, partners, consultants, creators, agencies, or other third parties.

The affiliate program is governed by the separate VisualSitemaps Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions, Reditus settings, and any written agreement approved by VisualSitemaps.

Affiliate commissions, if any, are separate from customer referral credits.

18. Email Communications and Marketing Compliance

By creating an account or using the Services, you may receive transactional, account, billing, security, service, legal, and product-related communications from VisualSitemaps. These communications are part of the Services and may be required for account administration.

Where permitted by law, you may also receive marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link or following the instructions in the communication. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of transactional, billing, security, or account-related messages.

If you use the Services to send or manage communications, you are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, ePrivacy rules, and other anti-spam, privacy, and marketing laws. You may not use purchased, rented, scraped, or unauthorized contact lists with the Services.

19. Privacy, Data Protection, and Security

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of the Services and Customer Data.

If your use of the Services involves processing personal data subject to GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss data protection laws, or similar laws, our Data Processing Addendum may apply where required and agreed. If a Data Processing Addendum or subprocessor list is not available or linked from the website, contact [email protected].

If you use Reditus-powered referral or affiliate features, Reditus may process referral tracking, affiliate, click, conversion, commission, and payout data as part of those programs.

You are responsible for determining whether the Services meet your legal, security, privacy, procurement, and compliance requirements before using the Services.

20. Ownership and Intellectual Property

VisualSitemaps and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including software, code, interfaces, designs, workflows, technology, content, templates, reports, documentation, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, and all related intellectual property rights.

Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, VisualSitemaps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business purposes or approved client work.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, frame, mirror, scrape, benchmark, or create derivative works from the Services except as expressly allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

21. Customer Outputs and Exports

Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, you may use outputs generated by the Services, such as visual sitemaps, screenshots, reports, exports, annotations, tags, and AI-assisted outputs, for your internal business purposes, client work, planning, analysis, and collaboration.

Your right to use outputs is subject to your rights in the underlying Customer Data and the rights of any third parties whose websites, content, trademarks, images, or materials are included in the outputs.

VisualSitemaps does not grant you rights to third-party website content captured through the Services. You are responsible for ensuring that your use, sharing, publication, or distribution of outputs does not violate third-party rights, privacy obligations, website terms, or applicable law.

22. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, comments, bug reports, recommendations, or other feedback about the Services, you grant VisualSitemaps a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, commercialize, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation.

23. Confidentiality

“Confidential Information” means non-public information disclosed by VisualSitemaps that is designated as confidential or that reasonably should be understood to be confidential given the nature of the information and circumstances of disclosure.

VisualSitemaps’ Confidential Information includes the Services, software, source code, product plans, roadmap information, technical information, business plans, pricing discussions, security information, and non-public customer or partner information.

You agree to use reasonable care to protect Confidential Information and not to disclose or use it except as necessary to use the Services under these Terms.

24. Copyright Policy

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that material available through the Services infringes your copyright, you may send a notice containing:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it.
  4. Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Copyright notices should be sent to:

25. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, limit, downgrade, or terminate your access to the Services if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You fail to pay amounts owed.
  • Your payment method fails or is disputed.
  • Your use creates security, legal, operational, abuse, privacy, compliance, or reputational risk.
  • We believe your use is unauthorized, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive.
  • We are required to do so by law, court order, payment processor, platform provider, or government authority.
  • We discontinue the Services or a material part of the Services.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Cancellation of a paid subscription is governed by Sections 12 through 15.

Upon termination, your right to access the Services will cease. We may delete, retain, export, disable, or restrict access to Customer Data according to our policies, legal obligations, operational needs, and applicable agreements.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, refund limitations, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and any accrued rights or obligations.

26. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VisualSitemaps disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, and error-free operation.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at all times.
  • Crawls, screenshots, maps, exports, reports, or AI Outputs will be complete, accurate, or suitable for your intended purpose.
  • The Services will capture every page, asset, video, script, state, variation, hidden page, authenticated page, lazy-loaded element, or dynamic element of a website.
  • AI Outputs will be correct, complete, unbiased, current, technically feasible, or business appropriate.
  • Use of the Services will improve SEO, traffic, conversions, revenue, accessibility, compliance, performance, or business outcomes.
  • Third-party services or integrations will remain available or unchanged.

You use the Services and any outputs at your own risk.

27. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VisualSitemaps and its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, contractors, suppliers, service providers, licensors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, including loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, business interruption, cost of substitute services, or implementation costs, arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VisualSitemaps’ total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • The fees paid by you to VisualSitemaps for the particular Services giving rise to the claim during the three months immediately before the event giving rise to liability; or
  • $500 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

28. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VisualSitemaps, its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, suppliers, service providers, licensors, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

  • Any activity by users, employees, contractors, clients, collaborators, or other persons using your account or credentials.

We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

29. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

You and VisualSitemaps agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms, the Services, your account, your subscription, your payment, or your relationship with VisualSitemaps will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration, except as stated below.

The arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its applicable rules and procedures. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this arbitration agreement.

You and VisualSitemaps waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, consolidated action, private attorney general action, or representative action.

You may bring claims only on your own behalf. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of class, consolidated, representative, or private attorney general proceeding.

This arbitration agreement does not prevent either party from:

  • Bringing an individual action in small claims court where permitted.
  • Seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property infringement, unauthorized access, misuse of confidential information, or security-related claims.
  • Reporting issues to government agencies where legally permitted.

If you do not want to be bound by this arbitration and class action waiver, you must notify us in writing within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Your notice must include your name, account email, mailing address, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Mail the notice to:

VisualSitemaps Inc.
228 Park Ave S
New York, NY 10003

If any part of this arbitration section is found unenforceable, the unenforceable part will be severed to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

30. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Subject to the arbitration section above, any court proceeding arising from or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, and each party consents to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

31. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates may be posted on our website, in the application, on our pricing page, through account notices, or by email.

The updated Terms will become effective when posted or on the effective date stated in the update, unless otherwise required by law.

Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and cancel any paid subscription before the next renewal.
